John Phelan Papers

Personal and professional papers of industrial designer and artists John Phelan. Together with the bulk of his personal records and memorabilia, the collection holds the full range of his artistic work, consisting of paintings, serigraphs, sketchbooks and numerous preparatory drawings. Phelan was the life partner of A. Louis Wiehle. He contributed to several architectural designs by Wiehle, notably doing an extensive series of sketches for the the Peak Club Competition.
